Wendy Padilla

Sunflower Turning’s founder and visionary. It is her dream and goal to lift people up towards bigger and better things, from food production to self-esteem. Wendy is a certified gardener, has sowed and kept her own gardens, and has been an ally and advocate in her community for nearly three decades.

Dr. Qi Xing

Qi Xing, Ph.D. is an education researcher at American Institutes for Research. Dr. Xing’s primary research interests focus on the effectiveness of programs and education policies that are embedded in complex societal, political, and economic conditions, as well as access to quality early education and its impact on school achievement. She holds a doctoral degree in Education Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, and traveling.

Ronson Tucker

A US Army Vet and current Technical Support Specialist for a multi-national company, focusing on training, troubleshooting, and engineering support. His charity work includes holding a secretary position for a fraternal organization, to which he is currently a member. He excels in supply logistics, record keeping, teaching, analytical thinking, and is Six Sigma/Lean Green Belt certified. He enjoys spending time with his family, tending to his lawn, and empowering people through education.
